So, Christmas was Fabulous!
We had a wonderful Christmas break. It started with a bang with a surprise arrival of Shiloh and Scott. They were expected Monday evening and so Sunday I was putting on a modest dinner mainly of leftovers to clean things out before they came and who walks in at 6:00? I was so shocked, I couldn't really think straight. - And, the only thing that kept comming to my mind was "Shiloh lied to me!" A mother's thing I guess. Anyway, they were here for everything; caroling to all our VT and HT people (Scott added the nice sound of a guitar), baking, cooking, last minute shopping, game playing, and the covetted (at least that's what Shiloh has always thought) present wrapping on Christmas Eve. Scott was a great sport and they pooped out shortly after midnight:) Anyway, their help was amazing and it did go a lot faster. They also cooked Christmas Eve dinner. They did a delicious chicken dish with spaghetti. It was really good. After dinner we had a little program with a video of the Testimonies of Christ by the Brethren, a slide show of the Savior's life set to music which Scott helped me put together, and a testimony meeting. It was one of the most spiritual Christmas Eve's we've had. Then Christmas morning began about 7:15. Yes, we've conditioned our children through the years. Our day was wonderful and we had my mom and brother Darrin and his kids over for dinner along with my friend Sue. It was great. We were all sad when Shiloh and Scott left but felt very lucky to have them the full 2 weeks. They even were here for New Year's Eve which was fun. A great last Christmas for Shane before his mission.
