Two Weeks of FUN

What another great 2 weeks.  We have had a wonderful summer.  We had a lot of fun with this tree thing and we had a lot of fun with Cam's Eagle project.  He redid 5 of the benches at the elementary school to finish what Tony did.  He did a great job and everyone who helped were awesome.  They look great.  We also had a great vacation at Diamond Lake with Scott, Shiloh, and Addy.  We did nothing but swim and lounge and play and eat.  It was great.  Shiloh gets to stay another week and we have some fun things planned for the last week of summer break.  The only thing good about school starting is that it brings February which will bring Shane home. :)

So the tree saga continues.  We decided - yes mostly me - to cut the whole thing down.

Danny was all tuckered out.

I don't have pics of all the branches.  The pile was 10 feet long, 8 feet wide, and about 8 feet high.  We rented a chipper and ran them all through in about 4 hours and then spread them on the neighbor's back driveway.  And when I say we, I mostly mean James and the boys :)

Jet needed to help.  This is a chainsaw that Grandma Lee bought for Josh when he was 2.  Still finding someone to play with it :)

Shauna has moved out to a house with 2 roommates.  She isn't far, just far enough away to have a different mailman.  This is her day with the girls.

Vacation Time!

So, apparently James and I did get some rest in there.

 This board thing was hysterical.  The kids Josh on down, could just step on this thing and paddle all over.  They could even get on it two at a time like it was nothing.  Ali, Cam, and Tony had to be a little more skilled in balance but for the rest of us - too much weight and too little space!  It was soooo hard! James was the only one to actually stand vertically for more than a second!

We came home and built a fire to have s'mores.  The darn burn bans and all.

Addy loves the swing and her crazy brothers.  LOL, I mean uncles :)

And as long as there is a stump, the tree saga will continue!  I must admit, I was very impressed with what he was splitting.  I married a muscle man!
