Another week in the Life...

Well, we started the week with the kids starting cross country.  Both Danny and Katie have won shirts for running the most laps and working the hardest.  Levi got a prize for being the youngest to run a whole mile without stopping.  James and I ran a 10 miler also on Monday.  On Tuesday, Jet and I walked with the kids during CC and on Thursday, I actually ran with them while Becca pushed Jalu.  Seriously, Levi started out about a half a block ahead of me and I never caught him.  He is quite the runner.  The boys spent a few days getting wood, we've had soccer, open houses, court of honors, cub scouts, and Saturday we took a day trip to Royal City.  A few funny things...
*Notice the video.  This is pretty much what Tony and Jet do all day - play and eat. :)
*Danny figured out the pause button on the remote.  Over and over again we would hear, "Come look at the frozen Tom" or Jerry or whatever character he happened to have caught in a funny pose or making a funny face.
*After Levi's teacher explained what they would be doing at 2:00, he responded to himself but loud enough for all to hear, "That might be what you're doing, but I'll be at home living it up!"  He gets to come home early on Fridays.
*When I cut Cam's hair, I left the top longer and used scissors to cut it.  I usually just buzz it like James' hair.  He went to the bathroom to look and came running out yelling, "I'm 16 and I finally have a big boy hair cut!"
*Becca and Katie discussing possible books they might read. - Becca - You will have to check with mom before you read that book.  Katie - Did you read it?  Becca - No, but I never really asked about reading it.  Katie - What do you think mom will say?  Becca - I don't know.  It will depend on if she thinks you are mature enough.  Katie - How does she know if we are mature enough?  Becca - I don't know.  I'm not mature enough to figure it out.
*Ryan over hearing the above conversation - Ryan - I'm just gonna read Dr Suess forever.  Koli answering - Don't worry, soon you can move on to Horrible Harry.  They're much older than Dr. Suess.
