Thanksgiving? Really?

Okay, so is it just me or is Thanksgiving REALLY EARLY this year?  My last post was titled A Great November Beginning and that was just last week.  Things are really moving along here.  As I look at the next 2 or 3 months, so much is going on!  So, I've decided to simply take it a week at a time and as noted above, that is fast enough!
We had a fairly normal and uneventful week this week.  Nothing out of the ordinary to report and really just a few pictures.  I'm going to list it in journal style.

Monday - A No School Day.  I gotta admit, James and slept in til 8:00.  It was glorious.  James headed to work and the kids headed outside to play.  We still had snow and more was falling.  The kids made good use of it; from shoveling to sledding.  We spent most the day playing together and watched an actual Christmas movie.  I love Christmas movies and TV shows.  We had a fun FHE and made some yummy oreo creations.

Danny and Tony were up and outside by 7:30.  Yes, James and I had no idea since we were in bed til 8!

What a nice surprise to have the walks shoveled.  What good kid Tony is.

Becca go in on some shoveling as well.
This so reminds me of the little boy in the Christmas Story.  jet could barely move!

Tuesday, back to school and Tony got his TB test.  Josh had a wrestling match.  He wrestled a kid who won Spokaloo.  josh lost by 5 points but did not get pinned which apparently frustrated the heck out of his opponent.  We spent the afternoon doing homework and ended the evening with another Christmas show.  I can't help myself.  Can you ever see too much of the Grinch and little Cindy Lou?

Wednesday was busy.  Katie won her volleyball game.  Becca won her volleyball game.  We had the missionaries over for dinner and a lesson with Danny.  Levi had his first concert.  He was so cute.

Danny loves to make things.  This is his tower car.

Thursday - I set up the Christmas tree in my room.  Jet loved the tree.  He loved getting under it with pliers while Tony was straightening it for me.  He also loved watching Christmas shows on the TV in my room.  We watched Rudolf while decorating the tree.  Tony got his stitches out and happily his face has returned to normal size.  Josh had another Wrestling match and won.  The boys went to scouts and we ended the night by falling into bed.  Our house is pretty tired by Thursday!

Not much difference between the cats and the 2 year old.  They both like to be under the tree and they both like to take the ornaments off!

Friday - Tony had his TB test read and happily it was negative.  I had to take Katie and Danny in to get immunizations and poor Katie fainted while we were standing at the desk.  Darn genetics!!!  I tell the girls all the time that later in life low blood pressure is going to be great.  They don't believe me yet - Well, Shiloh does. :)  We spent the evening with the kids playing games and then watching another Christmas show.  This was Arthur Christmas and i thought it was cute.

Saturday - Some of everything.  Football - watching and playing, shopping, ironing, playing, and a date night to Lowes.  We're thinking of some home improvement for Christmas.  The kids had a dance and the little kids had a nintendo play off.  I'm not sure who won, but they played a lot of round robin rounds.

Sunday we did church and spent the day together doing great stuff.  I went to another ward's Sacrament meeting to see one of my sisters I VT.  James happened to be speaking which I thought was a treat for me.  He was mouthing something to me from the stand, but I couldn't make it out.  Then I heard them announce the speaker and I was one of them.  He was lip syncing poorly on purpose!  He said he had told me from the stand.  Anyway, it was fun to be with him.

 Jet - It's what's for Dinner!

I asked Danny which state we lived in and he said, "This one.  The one that is like Morocco".  For those of you who don't have a map of Africa blazed in your mind, Morocco is in the north west corner of Africa.  He's a smart cookie.  He has seen a map now and has learned there are other countries in Africa.  When he came, he only recognized Ethiopia as Africa and he knew about Sudan, but not in a good light.  He also knew Nairobi because a lot of adopted parents talked about it because cases usually get sent to the Embassy there.  He's learning a ton!

Well, there's the week.  Can't wait for Thanksgiving; it's coming whether I think it is early or not!   :)
