Spring Break and Happy Easter!

MONDAY
We started the week with a movie at the garland. Tony had class but met us there. Then it was haircuts. I cut all 7 of the boys' hair, one right after the other. Then we took turns brushing the dog. The kids created quite a pile of fur. I wish I had taken a picture. Then we had a fun FHE and a camp out upstairs. We are looking forward to our week of Spring break.

I didn't think Levi would like his mowhawk that much. After he saw it, he didn't want his hair cut.

TUESDAY
We spent the day playing games and then had a BBQ and fire pit with the missionaries and Debbie. It was the first S'more Elder Simon had seen. He didn't understand why we would cook a marshmallow (those are new to him as well) until he ate one. He is from Kirabati. We had Debbie over. She is on date to be baptized. James also released a missionary. Shane's friend Parker.

WEDNESDAY
We had another rainy day and so we went to a movie at the garland. Well, kind of. We payed and went in and we are sitting there and all of a sudden I realize we are not at the movie I think we are at. So, we got up and went out and happily they gave us our money back. We had the wrong time. So we rented a movie and went home and watched it with popcorn and oreos. The girls spent the afternoon and evening at a birthday party. The boys spent the day with friends playing all kinds of video games and ping pong and fooseball.
Levi remembered how to ride his bike without training wheels.

THURSDAY
It was raining today so the kids played ball at the church. Shauna took a group of kids to the dentist and Cam and Josh spent the night with cousins. The kids also went shopping at the dollar store with James and we had pizza and a movie for dinner.

FRIDAY
James took the day off. He played with the little kids. They went bike riding along the river and part of the trail was a foot and a half under water. They came home WET! James also did a few projects around the house for me. Cam and Josh spent most the day with cousins. Shauna had only one class and then did some shopping with Ali. Tony went snowboarding with some friends and ended up in the ER. He broke his wrist. The doctors gave him 3 syringes of morphine for the pain so they could get it x-rayed. Then they gave him the medicine that makes you forget and 2 guys pulled his hand from his arm with all their might while the doctor reset the bone. (second x-ray) They put it in a temporary cast and we have to see a specialist because the break was along the growth plate. If the specialist likes it he will cast it and if he doesn't, he'll do something else. Needless to say, he had a rough night. He slept in the recliner. Brought all those memories back of James' shoulder surgery. We're hoping for a quick 6 week cast!

SATURDAY
We hung out doing jobs and then fixed some bikes, played some tennis, and went to a baptism. We also did some cooking and baking for Sunday's dinner.

Debbie was baptized. An amazing story. She is awesome!

SUNDAY
What a wonderful time of year. Our family has so enjoyed this last week together and the thought of celebrating Easter together has been wonderful. We were all busy today at church. Josh gave a talk in Sacrament and did a great job. He was also set apart as the Deacon's Quorum President. Cam was ordained a Priest and Tony was able to stand in (luckily they all used just their right hands). Alison played the flute in Sacrament meeting along with another flute, piano, and singing. It was very pretty. Levi gave a talk in Primary and did it all by himself. Koli gave a scripture. Ali played in RS for me and I sang with a few other women during the lesson. What a great way to spend Easter.

We missed you Shane but as I finish this up mostly for you to see, I am so happy you are serving the Lord. One day we will all be together - you and your little black brothers. February 2013! Until then, here are 2 pics for you.
