We've spent a lot of time in the pool or at the lake. The pool is our air conditioning. We are all a little bummed that it is the end of July, but time does seem to march on. Jet really took off walking this week (he only does it when we ask or he is standing against something) but it is progress. He still tires quickly. Danny is improving his English daily. He has shared some more stories from Ethiopia. He has seen some ugly things in Ethiopia at the hands of Sudan, he had a red dog named Mitchel, his dad grew zucchini much bigger than ours (I will have to let some of ours grow indefinitely), and he has seen hyenas eat dogs and most the dogs in his village were wild and mean. It's amazing to think he has had a whole life that he remembers. He also said today that he didn't want to go to church anymore. After investigating, it turns out there is a girl there who thinks he is very cute and can't stop touching him. If that wasn't funny enough, then Tony tells him, "It's okay. Many girls like Tony but I just say NO GIRLS and they know to stay away". I'm not sure they really stay away, but I thought his empathy for Daniel was hysterical!
Cute girls!
